Agreed with Merc and HY. Dont bother with spacers or adapters.

Depends on setup, need more info really. I would pick a 9" wide wheel typically.

Ive had 1" ebay wheel spacers and 1.5" wheel spacers from summit. The 1" broke a total of 8 studs i think off of 4 spacers, so they were very dangerous. And the 1.5" I guess didnt torque down correctly and a wheel went rolling by me down the street. And I have went through 2 sets of wheel bearings within a year.

See, I've never had spacers before and was just curious about what everyone has to say.

I had them before I got my Mud claws. 33x12.50-15s. I had them for around 2 years on my truck and had 0 problems. I checked the torque every 500 miles. Didn't even budge. They were HUBCENTRIC ones though.. Which is a little easier on parts compared to non-hubcentric ones.

I took them off when I got my 15x8 wheels/Mud Claws and sold them then. Now I have 35x12.50s on the same wheels that I traded my old Mud Claws for. I'm buying my spacers back tonight to give me the stance I want until I can afford my 18x12s and throw on 37x13.50s.

My spacers put the truck out 2" further in the back and 1" in the front.

I don't offroad too much though. Atleast not deep mud. I go in light mud and dirt roads more often though. I'm a "mall crawler" as they say.

I know a lot of the community goes against them but I never had a problem with mine. I still have the original hub/bearings and tie rods on since I got the truck. I'm just finally replacing the ball joints on it after 4-5 years. I drive like a grandpa though since I have crappy 3.55 gears with 35s.

My experience: I had 1.5" spacers on the rear of my Mustang for about 2 years, then removed them when I got wider wheels. Since then, I have broken 3 studs when rotating tires. I will never run spacers again. Maybe coincidence, maybe not, but I have never had studs snap off on any vehicle before this one.
