Default Moog K7278???

Finally got my control arm off the nut wasn't seized but the bolt seized to the sleeve took forever. Finally looked at the old bushing vs the new moog bushing they don't look the same wondering how to install (which side the metal outer goes to inside or out) or if this is the wrong one? Trucks 4wd model.

These are for the upper arms only so I hope that's what your doing .

Here's the easiest way with basic tools . These are jeep control arms , but , almost identical

removal : http://s347.photobucket.com/albums/p...t=MOV05125.mp4

install : http://s347.photobucket.com/user/one...05126.mp4.html

They will only install one way on the arms . The arms are reversible but I always practice marking to return them back to original positions

Starting to wonder a bit. The upper control arm I took off has a grease fitting wondering if my arm was replaced to when the lift was installed

That's very possible. Many lift kits do replace both the UCA's and LCA's.

AFAIK, no factory control arms come with grease zerks, but most aftermarket/lift arms do.

Yes , you have non-stock control arms . No , your new Moog bushings will not work . You will have to find out the manufacturer of the arms , and buy new bushings through them . If unable , measure the bushing diameter/width , and shop around from sites that sell similar arms .

I think it's this one only one I could find with a square tube body. Only mines black. Skyjacker would be my second guess but the ones design is a cylinder.

Sam, if you indeed have spohn arms, then you can get bushings directly from them. They are under the replacement parts section.

They are definitely standard poly bushings. The only dimension to be aware of is the sleeve width and bolt size. Upper CA width is 2+5/16" and the Lowers are the standard 2+5/8". Bolt size escapes me, it's like 95-99 is 12mm upper and 14mm lower, 00-02 is 14mm and 16mm (upper/lower respectively. I'd expect the Spohn parts to be correct though.

Well i called rough country this morning they said it wasnt there arms they dont make square tubes. I called back after i found a 2007 lift kit catalog with the control arm number. They were finally able to order me new bushing and i had to buy a 16piece sleeve set to replace one i drilled out. Hoping this post will help someone in the future
