Default Window goes up crooked.

I did search all 87 threads that used the term "Window Regulator" before someone goes off on me.

I have power windows and the passenger side seemed to be off track and would not go up or down. I popped off the door panel and saw that it was disconnected from the window on the bottom so I reattached and the back goes up when switch pressed but the front does not seem to move with the back. Which leave a shark fin effect with just the back part going up. Has anyone dealt with this before?

If the regulator needs replacing does anyone know of a good supplier. Dodge wants $265 for just the part and that just seems excessive.

I have a MINI and bought regulators from JC Whitney and they are garbage. They went up and down about a half dozen times and failed. Replaced them 3 times on one side and twice on the other. I don't want to do the same thing with my Dodge.

I haven't had to deal with the shark fin, but I have with other vehicles. I normally press the button with one hand and guide the window with the other.

I just replaced all 4 window regulators on my car (the ones in my truck are fine), and I went with the Dorman regulator, and I haven't had a problem with them. I got them off of Ebay. They are $55 shipped. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Power-Window-Regulator-And-Motor-Front-Right-Passenger-Side-Dorman-741-752-/371161495772?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item566af2f8dc&vxp=mtr
Autozone sells them as well.

I just looked on JC Whitney and noticed they don't even offer the brand of regulator that I replaced so many times. I guess I was their QC department.

Ok. I'd give the Dorman a try, got them on my car with no complaints. What brand did you buy from JC Whitney?

I went to go check the site to see and they no longer sell that specific one. What kept going bad in them were the gears, all of a sudden i would hear a grinding noise when windows was going up or down and I knew they were failing again.
