Look on the brake booster. Nice fat vacuum line runs to the intake manifold. I fed mine a whole can. (slowly.....) stalled it just before the last quarter can, let it sit for a few minutes, started it back up, and fed it the rest, then held a high idle till it quit smoking. (and I didn't have any mosquitoes for weeks!)
Keep in mind, liquid does NOT compress. You want the vacuum line just above the fluid, so it sucks it in, in an aerosol form.

The smoke is all the crap burning out of your cylinders. It's not a 'bad' thing, but, your neighbors, if they are close, really won't care for it. First time I did mine, I drove out to the middle of nowhere, second time, I just did it at home, as I now LIVE in the middle of nowhere.
Just pouring it into the line is not a good idea. Get too much liquid into any one cylinder, and you will experience hydro-lock. Liquid does not compress..... if the engine is running, and it hits that, it stops RIGHT NOW, and things break. Rebuild time.......

Anything you do to help the motor breath is good. The CAI though... well, I don't have a lot of use for them. The amount of money you have to spend is not justified by any performance gains, if any at all, you might see.

so ya i've had my new plenum in there for a few weeks now. So far ive had no oil or coolant loss at all which is abnormal for me but its great. Also the power and startup seem to be a bit better. Mileage so far hasnt been much of an increase. I think i can blame that on my more the ****ed suspension and blown ball joints however. But thats going to be fixed rather soon.
