Need to know if any good aftermarket front seats out there or some thing from another car or truck will work.mine is shot. The older cars trucks had some spring frame this one on my 2000 1500 is basically just froam. Padding. Thanks. Eric
Where are you located? Have you considered taking the seats to an auto upholstery shop to have them rebuilt/repaired? You can also try finding a good used front seat setup from another '94 - '01 truck.
I think the seats changed for 1998-2001. They have the seat belt piece that goes from the shoulder to the hip built into them, and the 1994-1997 don't. I'd stick with seats from those years or getting the current seats redone.
98 Reg Cab has the seat belt in the pillar, not the seat... can't say about the 98½ though... maybe the in the seat anchor started with the suicide doors?

Mine's an early '98 Club Cab (pre-rear doors) with a manufacture date of September 1997 and the belts are in the seats.

go to a local junk yard, removing the cloth on the bottom is not that hard and grab the foam also. You can have the junk yard seat cover fixed then swap them out later.
