Default did the inspection cover change threw the years




My 46re on my 97 looks nothing like this. Did the 46re also change design in the later years? The inspection cover on my 01 2500 is missing.I just need to know what to look for. I.E. What model.

Also, I know it's not a 47re since those have a special inspection cover that goes on the bottom of the tranny.

I know my 1997 46-RE does not have a cutout like that. I don't know if the housing for it changed over the years, but I know the electronics did.

Yes sir! In deed I do need one. Does it have that contour like the pic shows? Pm me and we'll hammer out the details.

Well, after LOTS of heavy searching on line and in bone yards, I found one. For those that are in my predicament, you can find that style plate on Dakota's and Durango's. Thanks tweeker and hey you for the help.
