Default New 52mm throttle body

When I was looking at throttle bodies , I noticed the price is way too much IMO . Then , there's this guy . Cost me $150 . Several guys are running his TBs w/o issue in their 5.9 jeep Grand Cherokees so I thought I would pass this alone to anyone interested . These are much cheaper than most I seen .

I would be interested in your impressions of it, once you have it installed, and have ran it for a bit.

I will be happy to oblige . It's going to be hard for me to say what gains will be had due to the engine/M1 intake/underdrive pulleys/SCTtuner/52mmTB all being done at once . As long as there are no idle issues

BTW , I know a guy who is about to start making some dyno runs with and without "Flyin Ryan's " tune , same as I have . I'll post them up when I get them . It will be nice to know what these SCT tuners do . I don't see any comparisons anywhere . I do have some older engine dynos from a jeep forum with a list of the mods . I'm one step away from this stage . Should be a huge improvement over the 5.2

(325hp/410lbft)

K&N FIPK
Mopar Performance ECU
3" catn'back + Mike Leach headers/Y-pipe
Ignition upgrade
52mm TB
Relocated IAT sensor
Mopar Performance 2bbl MPI intake
1.7 roller rockers

I still need the rockers and will get them once the engine is up and running . I may take the truck for a dyno burn after that just outta curiosity .

I tried emailing the guy and the email address didn't go through. Any chance there is a typo in it?

Hmmm I'm interested in this too. I agree most of the larger tb's out there are expensive. But for $150 I'm wondering if it's a stock one that is bored and refitted with larger butterflies. I've "mildly built" my 318 in my 01. I'm sure a tune and maybe larger injectors to go with more air coming in would help, but are curious if this would help or end up hurting w/o doing a tune and injectors.

From what I've read , 50mm is best for the 5.2 .

Yes , they are stock bored out TBs .

I don't see any harm either way .

I promised to have a core sent back ASAP , so , I swapped on a stock TB bored 50mm and also polished . It free'd up a stock core to return , and , was my first introduction to more induction on these Magnums after having several . Not so sure that was a good idea , I think I just got hooked .

There's definitely a difference to the good . Immediate difference off the line , way less pedal to coast along at 70-80 , and I hardly lost any speed going up a steep incline . Before it was drop 10 and drop a gear . I can see this increasing mpg just by noting the difference in pedal pressure applied . The Bad : It really screams and pulls at WOT . huge difference when WOT . Could become addictive . Passing improvement w/o doubt . I tailed a semi and pinned it on the divided hwy . I passed him better going up a grade than I could have before on the level , no bull !

50 MM on a 5.2 works awesome . Now I want to try the new 52MM on it , .

The 50mm will go to the wife's 5.9 Jeep , after I'm done with it . Just based on the first results from a test run , at $150 , a bigger throttle body is a very good bang for the buck . In fact , if my 5.2 didn't have a slight knock that I can't find , I'd keep it in there . I will be getting one for my 95 Jeep 5.2 later this spring without hesitation .

If I do try the 52mm on the 5.2 , I will post the results later today .

I have a 52mm TB on my 5.2, with no detriment... and room to grow with other mods.
