Default Straight Piping?

I really want to straight pipe my 1500 Dodge Ram Laramie 1998 to make it sound a whole lot louder, but some people have told me it will mess up my pick up and others say it will be fine. I know I'll get worse fuel economy but besides that will there be any other problems?

It won't sound good. Be better to save up for an aftermarket exhaust.

I've been looking around and since all y'all say straight piping is awful, what about a Magnaflow Glass Pack Muffler or a super 10 flowmaster? And does anyone know my exhaust pipe diameter?

Super 10's are loud, I have one. Sounded way better after I got a bigger y pipe and the shorty headers. Gave it a deeper sound to it rather than just loud and obnoxious.

My truck had 1chamber flows on it then 2 chamber 40 series and then straits ! It ran good but was really loud ! True duals and no converter !
