On another note what spark plug socket fit's into these goofy tubes?

The little one. Don't remember the size at the moment. If there is dirt and such packed in there, it can be a pain. Best to blow them out with high pressure air, or simply remove the damn things.

Can they be removed with spark plugs still in head? That would be optimum considering you don't want to get anything in the there.

I think so. That would make very good sense to me... but, that does not imply ma mopar thought it made sense.
