Default question about adjusting rear brake shoes

If I got the adjustment in the general area would the self adjuster if working correctly adjust the rest of the way to were they need to be? I have no dragging and the ebrake works good do I know they're catching. Just want to know if I was close if I'm ok .

You should just hear them start to rub when adjusted properly. Unfortunately, the "self" adjusters are not as effective as they should be.....

Looks like I'll be jacking it back up. I adjusted them to rubbing than backed off until they were free i think i might have went alittle to far.

How's your brake pedal height? If you are comfy with it, leave it. If it seems to go a little far before anything starts to happen, tighten up the rears a bit.

Everything seems fine. I just didn't know if I left it if it would cause the front to wear quicker than normal. As I said the height is good they're not spongy and the ebrake gets tights at about half way pressed and holds tight. Even on the test run I'd start to press the brake and as soon as I pressed u could feel the brakes start to engage.

I have to make a run across town so I'll try it out and see how it goes from there. Thanks for the help. It was much appreciated.

Take it for a drive, and see what you think. Sometimes, actually driving it will help 'set things in place', and a bit more adjustment will be in order.

But, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Will do I'll kelp you posted how it goes. If I don't reply than I probably ran off a cliff somewhere and might need a search party lol.

A firm braking in reverse from 4-6mph also helps settle things in place.
