Take your steering dampener off and throw it away and never think about it again.

Took it apart today.

Passenger side upper ball joint and wheel bearing had some play. Lower seemed OK. As far as I know they were all original, 223,000 miles!!! Driver side joints and bearing replaced a couple years ago and still seem to be fine so I am leaving them as I put few miles on the truck at this point.

Buying new joints and hub for the passenger side. Hope to get everything installed tomorrow and take it for a test drive. Will report back.

Finished the job Sunday night. Took it for 2 short rides since then.

Seems good. Hope this helps someone diagnose their own death wobble. If it is not fixed... I will report back.
