Default Non Adjustable H&S 1:1.7rr's with resurfaced heads?

Not machined drastically to increase performance but resurfaced to remove any warping, possibly 5 thousandths or so max.

What do you think? Are the pedestal mount non adjustable roller rockers still OK?

How much is too much?

Probably. Lifters will compensate for the most part. Still and all, wouldn't hurt to put it all together, and roll the engine over by hand a couple times, to verify you don't run into any problems.

You could throw some thicker head gaskets on maybe if you aren't way past that. But I wouldn't really worry about that little bit.

I'm letting the kid do the work. He's pulling the valve covers now. He's never done much work before so it's going slowly and there is a little whimpering. Too bad he isn't old enough to have any of the beer....

Old enough to pull an engine he's old enough for dad to cough up a beer.
C'mon dad. Lol

Yup, I was pulling down motorbike engines and drinking beer (a controlled amount) at 6yrs... didn't hurt, and took all the mystery out of drinking, so I was the sensible one when everyone else was on a bender (not knowing their limits).
However, in this day and age, I wouldn't let anyone see you feeding a minor a beverage.
