Default Ignition issues

It started a while ago but at one time I could pull the key out of the ignition while the truck was running. I could also turn off the truck and start the truck without the key. It only happened a few times. Now I can pull it out while running and turn off the truck but not start it.

Now I can't even start the truck. It turns over but also acts like it's low on battery. Could the ignition be finally going out and causing this?

Weak battery, failing starter, internal engine issues can all cause slow crank. Put jumper cables on it, does it crank faster?

You can get your battery tested for free. Also check all connections are good for charging.

A little late with the ending to this. So I tested everything I could get off easy. Alt, Batt, etc etc. Started looking into the cables. Found that midway in the positive cable there was a 6 inch spot that was almost completely corroded. So took it off and got a new one off of rock auto. Everything is fine now.
