Default hard starting when warm?

Hello DF!

I have searched the web and found nothing that quite fits my scenario.
The problem I have is sometimes (definitely not every time) when warm, my trucks cranks over for waaay longer than it should. My truck has always started up right away (1-2 seconds, maybe 3 when cold) and has never given me problems starting until a week or two ago. It seems to be random, I've had it done this as quick as fuelling up takes, and as long as an hour or two of shutting it down. But not once ever when cold. It seemed fuel related at first as cycling the key a few times will solve it (I think, it doesn't do it too often), but I just replaced the fuel pump about 2 months ago, and never noticed any fuel related problems. The other thing i noticed is I know the fuel pump kicks on, i heard the whine for about 2-3 seconds after key on, and still had it crank over forever. I have a CEL and DTC were P0138 and P0455 (O2 sensor, and evap large leak) plenum is leaking, but i believe it to be irrelevant.

Truck is 2001 ram 1500 sport, 4dr QCSB, 5.9L mag 4x4 auto 3.55 w/LSD on 33's truck is stock.

Im leaning towards maybe an ASD thing? (Ill admit i have very little knowledge of the ASD circuit, or how it works) or maybe even a coil issue?
Does anyone have any input?

Thanks DF!!

If the fuel pump is priming, probably not an ASD issue. What brand pump did you put in? Got a fuel pressure gauge? Wouldn't hurt to see what it has to say when the truck doesn't wanna start.

I put the pump in before I knew anything about these dodge trucks, so it's a auto parts special... Not OEM or Delphi or anything recommended, but it is less than 2 months old. Injectors don't appear to leak. How long should the fuel system hold reasonable amount of pressure for?

At least 10 minutes. 30 is better.

I'll attempt to check the fuel system pressure, but finding what the pressure is at when its giving me trouble might be tough... Doesn't happen too often.

Well, hunting season is over for me, and i have been doing less shutting down and restarting frequently, and the truck has not been giving me any problems. In fact, its like the problem went away! So unless it comes back, or becomes an issue again, I think I'm going to leave it at that. Truck runs beautifully right now, so whatever... As always, thanks for the prompt support HeyYou, you rock.
