Or, spend a bit more, and get a Redhead, or Borgeson box. Do it once, do it right, be done with it.... Prices seem a tad steep on those reman boxes......
Well the redhead box is going to be pushing $900 by the time I get it up to Canada.. I'm leaning toward the Cardone or JY one I think. Probably the Cardone being that it has a warranty.
There are specs out there on the web somewhere from a front end man, that has done hundreds of these trucks, that are somewhat different than stock, but, I don't have a link handy, google search should turn it up though.
food for thought: the hard pull reminds me of a similar issue> The oem brake line internal separation pinching off fluid flow to one side usually killing the braking pressure to the caliper; and ultimately the hard pull. Cheap to replace those lines just make sure you get the installation clips - old ones are usually pretty rotten
Interesting about the brake lines, I'll check those out for sure.
I ended up just going with the redhead box... $1108 with $350 of that being a core. Do it right do it once kinda thing..
Check the steering shaft were it comes out of the steering column for play. If you feel any play, do a search for rock solid ram steering fix, and I bet that will fix the problem.
I seen that before, I'm definitely going to order one after my redhead box gets here. I'm hoping after those two things, and my whole new front end, it should be as tight as new. I've had enough of the wander haha.
