Here's a pic of mine. 01 2500 V10. It's right on top of the white box next to the parking brake assy.

No idea what that brown connector is for though.

Thanks for the picture, but unfortunately mine doesn't have it. I just went out and looked again it's not there. I took a couple pictures and believe I found a tab the plug was meant to be snapped into to hold it in place. On top of the white box.

all you have to do is run 1 wire from controller to the back 7 way plug !

Yes, that is the tab the blue connector snaps into.

Can you explain more, all the tutorials I'm finding have you installing a new 7 way.

I'm sure this is basic stuff for some by I have very limited knowledge when it comes to wiring. I can do it but I need thorough instructions.

Without looking at any wiring, off the top of my head...

That 4 wire connector they you're looking for has a constant hot, ground, brake pedal sense (switched or "cool" side) and brake controller output. So, what he's saying, is they you can tap into 3 of those yourself and then just run the controller output to the 7-way. I assume that you already have the 7-way on your truck.
