I just wanna bypass the relay, to see if we have a problem somewhere else. If it starts and runs with it bypassed, then control side is the problem. Jumpering is just easier.

I know its been a few days since Ive replied. Been busy as hell! Ok, so i used a jumper wire on 30 and 87 of the ASD relay and still no start. Same as before. Is the next step the PCM itself? Thanks!

I also just checked the crank sensor connector for power. According to a post i saw there should be around 8 volts at the connector with the key in the on position. I have nothing, the volt meter never changed. Im starting to get frustrated, I may fire bomb this thing! So that would mean a bad pcm or a broken wire im guessing. I know my luck so it will probably be a bad pcm. I need some more help on this guys. Thanks

Lightbulb Crankshaft position sensor circuit

Here's the info on the CKP Sensor connection:
Pin 1 = output to PCM on GREY/BLACK wire
Pin 2 = Sensor ground from PCM on BLACK/LIGHT BLUE wire
Pin 3 = 5 Volt Supply from PCM (not 8 volts) on VIOLET/WHITE wire

Yeah, if you aren't getting any sort of power to the crank sensor, check continuity on the wire, if it's good, time for a new PCM.

Tracing that wire all the way to the pcm is going to be a pain in the ***. Ive already pulled the computer out. It looks like its been heated fairly well where the coil driver would be. I will hook it back up and see what i get. Remember though im not showing power to the coil or injectors either.

Thanks for the info. Any type of wiring has never been my strong suit. Do you happen to know which plug on the pcm these wires run to? I did download a service manual but that thing takes forever to go through. Thanks

PCM GETS power from fuse 9 in the junction block (side of the dash, this is switched ignition), and Fuse 3 (20 amp) in the PDC under the hood. Verify both are good.

Crank Position sensor gets 5v feed from the PCM at connector 1, pin 17. Should be violet, with white trace. Coincidentally, cam position sensor gets its power feed from the same place.

Ok, so i can use my meter to test fuse 9 in the dash but fuse 3 isnt the same type. The fuse looks good through the window on the top.

And Im guessing that the purple wire with white trace runs all the way to the crank sensor. Can i put one lead from the meter to that pin and the other lead to the crank sensor and check for continuity that way or will i have to take everything out of the wire loom? And i should reinstall the computer im assuming? Also this may have to wait for tomorrow to test.

With the ignition on, just probe the wire near the PCM, and see if you are getting 5 volts. You *might* be able to stick the probe right into the backside of the connector. Not sure how well sealed they are.

So i should leave the connector plugged into the pcm?
