Exclamation a/c inop 2001 360 quad

2001 Dodge 1500 ac was working up until one day it grenaded I replace the compressor and went to re charge it ,now there isnt a ground getting to the clutch.The relay is fine we even tried jumping the pressure switch to kick the compressor and still nothing .PCM was repaired prior to ac repair for a coil failure ????Any help would be appreciated

Got gauges? What are pressures lookin' like? If low side pressure is too low, compressor won't engage.

well we cant get the ac to come on to finish the filling it sorry gauges are not on right now , butb if you bypass the switch the compressor should kick on ?

Low pressure switch? If it comes on that way, you still need to pump more into it.

Did you evacuate the system after changing the compressor? Put any refrigerant in yet?

yes its been evacuated and no like i said it doesnt come on when you by pass the switch there is power to the clutch but no ground to complete the circuit it has two cans in it now needs almost another full one our machine has a faulty scale so we just use it to evac

Looking at the wiring diagram, if you have power TO the compressor, then you just have a bad ground. (as that is where it goes after the compressor.) Recheck the connector, and make sure you are getting power THRU the clutch. If that's ok, should be able to simply run a ground, and call it a day.

I am hoping to tie a ground in tomorrow morning It worked okay before the old one bought the farm Im hoping nothing happened to the PCM when it seized On thediagram i have it doesnt really show where the ground terminates for the compressor

That's G105 on gas engines. That's the one right by the power steering pump, on the front of the motor.
