Default Rattling/ticky sound from front end.

I drive a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L and I recently have noticed these rattling sounds from my front end everytime I accelerate. If I go slow like "slow" it doesn't make the sound but if I were to go over 2500RPMs it would make a rattling sound and when I let of the gas it would stop. My truck has 151,000 miles on it and it started about a week ago. The sound it makes just sounds like something is about to bust and I don't even know where to start to figure out what this sound is coming from. Can anyone help?

Catalytic converter rattling? (Thump it with a rubber mallet a couple times, see what noise it makes.) Or does it sound like marbles in a tin can? (spark knock) Fixed the plenum yet? (see stickied thread at the top of this forum.)

Welcome to DF!

Check all your u-joints. (and yep, there's a bunch of 'em.)

I had all my u-joints replaced around 5 months ago.

Were your u-joints on the driveshafts done AND the axle shafts? Or just the driveshafts?

I figured it out. It's my catalytic converter.
