Question crank no start

2000 ram 1500 with 5.9. Have a problem that I am stuck on. Truck has spark ,noid pulse, fuel pressure at rail is 45. truck starts if I use either but won't stay running . cap rotor wires and plugs are new . Truck has good compression at 140. Any help would greatly be appricated kind of on a tight budget.

Looks like you have ignition, as it's runs with ether. You said you have fuel pressure, but that doesn't mean you have injector pulse. Test for injector pulse, at a few injectors.

If you have no Injector pulse, I would look at the camshalft position sensor, located inside the distributor. That sensor is what controls injector pulse.

Ok. Not sure what was meant by "noid pulse". If everything checks out then, I would scan the computer for codes. You could also try, make sure you take safety to the extreme here, but pull a rail and make sure your injectors are firing. Some freak event could have ruined all the injectors idk. That would be the last to check if I were in the situation lol.

Stock injectors will give you a 'pencil beam' spray.

Don't any work to the truck before this started?
