Default 94 Ram 1500 5.2l Runs super rich stalls randomly

Ive got a 94 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.2l that I recently picked up randomly it will cut off if I go to stop as soon as I take my foot off the gas. At idle it runs so rich that you can see the unburnt fuel coming out of the exhaust. I figured that I would reach out to see if anyone had any ideas. Its giving me the egr/ inbalanced air/fuel code 32. I don't have much experience with obd1 and prior vehicles. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the coolant temp sensor. You have two. A one wire, which is for the gauge. And a two wire, which is for the PCM. That's the one you want. It should be next to the thermostat housing, just to the drivers side.

Welcome to DF.

Is this the one that is kinda behind the a/c compresser down on the timing cover water pump area? And thank you!

May also want to check the IAC and the port it seats into on the TB.

Yeah, it's right behind the compressor, on the front coolant passage on the intake. Yep. Fun to get to.

Yeah I ordered on a week or so ago the guy told me the truck randomly would act this way. I had originally replaced the purge solenoid and it fixed it for a little while or so it seemed so I will replace temp sensor today. As far as the iac I'll look into that was well finding a good quality replacement for that seems to be difficult.

Replaced egr, temp sensor and iac still running extremely rich. It does have a holley throttle body on it.

Which temp sensor did you replace? The one wire, or two wire?

Well, that was the right one.... Got a scanner you can plug in, to see what the PCM thinks temp is?

Might also try unplugging the front O2 sensor, and see if that doesn't improve things.
