home made air intake
hey guys i just bought a dodge dakota 5.9 airhat so i can make my own intake but just for advice who ever has already made one for themselves can you please tell me where you go the tubing, couplars, and fasteners thanks John

most likely at the hardware store... from the ones I've seen, they are 4" black pvc piping.
whatever you make, insulate it and provide a heat shield so your not sucking in engine compartment air. hot air != hp

I am planning to do the same, when I can get to it, I went to a local auto store- not the chain type like advanced auto or pep boys (hate em) and they had a catalog from a specialty company that has any and all the pieces you will need. I will try to remember to call them tomorrow and ask what the name is and get back to ya.

do a searh on the forum for your topic..thers a few that are done... i know rm-indy had on on his before he went turbo.... damn redknob... that is a gorgoues truck...

The name of that company is "Spectre". Not sure if they have a website or not but you can check or call your favorite parts store to see if they deal with them.
