Isn't there a TSB out there about chaffed wire insulation? Could be broken insulation is grounding out the circuit, tripping the code.

p1740-TCC or OD Sol Perf A rationality error has been detected in either the TCC
solenoid or overdrive solenoid systems.

p1757-Governor Pressure Not Equal to Target @ 15-20 PSI The requested pressure and the actual pressure are not within a tolerance band for the Governor Control System
which is used to regulate governor pressure to control
shifts for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear (Zero Pressure
Malfunction)

i looked them up in the service manual. hope this helps a little

p1757 says that the pressure is used for shifting for 1st,2nd and 3rd gear so maybe it does have something to do with the slipping. im no expert so hopefully someone that is will shine more light on it for you.

just got mine back from the dodge STEALERSHIP ($75.00 to diagnose it, estimated to repair $700.00!! [:@] i didnt let them fix it, labor rate is too pricey for me considering that parts is only $150.00) ....turns out that the p1757 code and slippage is caused by both the governor pressure solenoid AND the governor pressure sensor. i still dont know about the p1740 since that code was cleared out the last time it came on. i now wonder if the p1757 could cause a p1740...
