Seems like this question comes up in every forum. There needs to be some sort of
class action suit against the manufactuers or at the very least they need make sure the consumer is aware of the problem / issue so that we may prevent the discoloration/ oxidation of the plastic headlight lens before it needs to be fully restored. Anyway,I was one of those that really didn't keep an eye out for this issue and low and behold my truck got the
"headlight cancer" as some would say. I searched on the net for ways to restore the headlights or some type of
headlight cleaner only to read a lot of forums / threads that said to use stuff like oven cleaner, or brake fluid, (by the way don't try these methods---it will clear it, but it eats the plastic & you will soon need to replace them because you would have now caused permanent damage to the integrity of the lens). But there were quite a few threads about using Mothers Polish or a metal Polish---but they always ended saying the same thing that they had to go back and do it again and again. Another method or the best method I came across form my reading was a combination of wet sanding and using the polish, but in order for it not to quickly revert back to the cloudiness, you must properly seal the headlight lens with a sealer. This sealer must be a
UV inhibitor sealer, much likewhat the manufactuers put on the headlight lenses initially but just over time, sun exposure, and driving conditions it wears this coating down and eventually you will get the "headlight cancer". Once I was armed with this information I proceeded with my search and came across a company called
The Headlight Solution, they restore headlights locally and I gave them a call. They were very nice and informative as well as there website
http://www.headlightsolution.net Unfornately I was out of their service area, but I was told they sell a headlight cleaner or a headlight restoration kit so I went ahead and purchased Kit # 2 and I am very glad I did, it was quite easy to do.
Even a Poindextercould do it----lol. It has now been almost 6 months and they still look beautiful, I only wished I took before and after pictures because it was a huge difference. The kit comes with everything you need to restore the headlights and I even had enough to do my wifes Dodge Caravan and my daughters Honda Civic. I was very satisfied with them,
The Headlight Solution, so give them a try, like I said I'm glad I did, & we can even see better at night-------------sorry for rambling on. Hope this helps, and good luck.
P.S. I also checked on that Pittmans here is one of there feedback from ebay..........the product seems a little far fetched that a couple of drops could have attempted to cure my "headlight cancer" it was really badly discolored and had a gritty feel to it.

completely useless. Product does nothing to improve lenses don't waste your $
