Default 33x12.5 tires only in 16.5"?

I wanted plain-jane black or white painted steel wheels. I've found a rough country coil spacer kit that I can order for 107 shipping included. It recommends 33x12.5 tires, which is what I'd love to have, but the only problem is that I can only seem to find those tires in 16.5". But...the wheels I want I can only find in 16". I've read that 15" wheels will rub my clipers and I really don't want to order a wheel just to find out it rubs and has to be sent back. I might get charged a restocking fee. Can anyone help me out?
Jared

Get a 285 tire, they are about 33" and the 16 is better than 16.5 at low air pressure.

Looks like the 285/75 is going to be easier to get than an actual 33x12.5 As long as it looks good on a 16x10 is all I care about. Now, this truck will be primered soon, and i haven't decided on black or red primer. I really don't care about paint, so it'll never be painted. Just for kicks, what do you think about wheels....black, white or chrome?

Here's a link to a tire size calculator.
http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit

How wide are the wheels your looking at? a 12 - 12.5 wide tire is pushing the maximum of an 8" wheel. Any smaller than that, your likely to have problems.
Good Luck, Glenn

16.5 " is the rim not the width most stock wheels 16x 7 , 16x9 (off road) rim.. your looking for 33x12.5 x 16 , 35x12.5x 16 or 285 just under 33 , 295 just over 33 all depends on the tire and who makes them...

285s are narrower than the 33x12.5s you are considering and won't hang out past the fender a plus or minus depending on what you are going for. Remember thetire sizeis reversedwhen you compare metric to standard. 33 being height and 285 being tred width. So a 285 MIGHT be the same height as a 33 depending on aspect ratio but can't be as wide a 12.5. Lots of posts on this topic, just watch when people call two sizes the same or say that they are running 33s or 35s on stock 16 inch rims and are actually running metric tires and not giving the full spec or you might rub on a control arm or front tub or find some other agravating problem. Let us know what you go with

I'll go with a 33x12.5x16 when I can find one. I know 16 isn't the rim width. I'm not a total moron, just a partial one. I'm going to call Pro Trucks here in town this week and talk to them. I'll keep you informed.

285/75r16 is a 32.7x11.xxR16 tire. 305/70r16 is a 32.7x12.xxr16....so if your going to go with a 10 inch wide rim, i'd got with some 305/70r16
