I think I am going to do it... I cant keep my front rotors from warping... so maybe if I get more braking power in the rear it will stop warping them...

Well just completed this upgrade so here is my experience;
I over paid at $18 each at Checker, but they were in stock and I was all excited to get this done.
This is my first vehicle of any sort and I've never taken brakes apart before so when I pulled theshoes off and everything fell off I got kind of fightened. haha
I didn't do any definitive before and after testing but it seems to have helped some.
What I likely need to do is improve the front now.
But most importantly just follow the steps listed above and this is quite easy and bolts on.
Any idea why my brake and ABS light were on for quite a while?
It took awhile to bleed the lines but I'm just kind of happy to have taken the brakes apart, put them back together and have them work properly.
did anyone ever determine if you can do this mod for 01's with drums in the rear. Someone said something about they changed the brake style in the 01's and was curious if you could still do the same mod?
I've been running this wheel cylinder upgrade since last fall, and I must say it is one of the best modifications I have made to my truck. It took a while for the self adjustors to kick everything into place, but now, when I'm out driving, the rears lock up *RIGHT NOW* in panic situations. I can made the rear wheels screech with ease if needed. I recommend this swap to everyone on this board.
