Other vehicles? Besides my Ram? What are these other vehicles you speak of? Nice work so far Keegan, good luck the rest of the way.

I'm up to roughly $1800 CDN since I started in June. Yeah, it's a bit of money for a 14 year old truck, but:

- I've wanted a 2nd gen ram since they came out
- I've wanted to do a semi- overhaul on a vehicle for quite some time now
- I don't know how often you come across a truck like the one I have, 318 4x4 with a 5spd. Well, maybe they're more common than I think, but I wanted it anyway lol.

Default Odd sputter, my final engine problem to fix (for now!)

Now that I've overcome the numerous problems I had with my truck when I first bought it, I'd like to narrow down the final issue I'm having!

(Keep in mind my truck is a 5 speed, whether this makes a big difference or not, I figured I'd mention it)

On a cold engine, I can lightly accelerate up to 2-2500rpms no problem in any gear (I can accelerate much higher but choose not to for obvious reasons). Once the engine warms up, anything above roughly 1700rpm, its very hesitant/sputtery. When you accelerate harder, it goes through the rpm range fine. Once you've reached your desired speed, if it happens to fall anywhere from 1700rpm up, it pulls this sputtery prank. The problem is, I don't drive with a leadfoot ALL the time, and I'd like to rid my truck of this problem. I don't have a CEL on, however, my truck is on the recall list for the evap stuff, and its going in next week for recall service.

Is there possibly something retardedly obvious that I'm completely overlooking? Bad dist. cap, or a silly sensor somewhere?

Well I changed the cap, rotor, and plugs, and the problem seems to have disappeared!
