I wish it were just a pipe, its actually a 3/8 tube flared on the radiator side with a qd knurl on the trans line side, that sits inside a flared 5/8 union that is externally threaded for a checknut. That is why finding it so far has been a PITA.

Go back in this thread and look at the pics Purpledodge posted,the fittings you need can be had at HD or Lowes. If you ask him I'm sure he will post more pics of how he did it.

I kinda feel like i am hijacked this thread. Sorry guys. I will try and make it up by posting the pics of my Filter and temp gauge install later. As for the fitting, if you look at PurpleDodge's Checkvalve thread in step 5 he cuts the radiator side fitting with a dremel, no home depot, no lowes, no pictures. Sorry Zman. I am in the same boat right now, the fitting broke where he cut his. I have it clamped on there for now but would like to clean it up a bit.

How can it be any cleaner than connecting a hose with a clamp to that fitting you are having a problem with and cutting the steel line before the check valve and connecting the other end of the hose to it with a clamp?
