The seat is held in by 4 bolts from the bottom. There is one on each corner and you can reach them from below. The problem is the 4 bracket arms that it mounts on. They are part of the other 2 seat frames and must be cut off to give you a clear area where the seat was. The easiest way to do that is to remove the other 2 seats one at a time. They are held in by 2 bolts in the front and 2 bolts in the rear.

you don,t need to cut the brackets i made a custom box for the middle of my seats and i drilled holes in the sub box and bolted to the brackets it is a nice setup because it never moves this is a picture of wat i did it has the amp under neath the brackets hold the box up and allow me to mount the amps underneath

The four bolts (two in front, two in back) screw up into the seat. They are quite difficult to see and get at, but its simple once you know where they are. The brackets he was talking about are the four that will be sticking out once you remove the seat. There will be four pieces of metal sticking out that the seat rests on.

What are your plans once removed? If you are building something (sub box or storage box), maybe you can incorporate the brackets to hold your newly constructed box. If you are not putting anything there, you will most likely want to remove them.

Well the brackets are up quite high (several inches off the carpet) so you will most likely want to remove them for room. The front two are riveted on the two bucket seat brackets from the factory, so you will have to cut the rivets off. The back two are simply bolted on. Just remove the nut, take off bracket, and reinstall the nut. Pretty simple operation.

Oh, and I have my 2 12" subs in a box I built which fits behind the seats. If I remember correctly I think it has 4 cu. ft. of air, which was about the biggest it could be with still being able to put the seats back and have the center council go up and down. My amp is below the center seat. Just a thought.

If you want pics let me know. I will have to try to figure out how to post pics on this site.
