im thinkin about lifting my truck......but i want it to be fairly cheap.....i was thinkin about a 3" body lift and then 3" coil spacers and 3" block.....does that sound good?.......its only a 2wd so it would be mostly for looks.......this kit \/ says 97 and up...whats different?......how much lift does the 2500 springs give?
from what i gathered any type of spacer/coil lift on a 2wd greater than 2.5 inches you need new upper control arms to gain proper alignment/ full range of suspension travel. and then depending on the manufacture you need different wheels with different backspacing. i have even heard that depending on the truck, 2 inch lift spacers/coils can be to much. v6/v8, reg/ext cab, short/long bed.
so i guess the real question is are you lifting to level or to put bigger meats under it
