Ok it's a 96 4WD which I don't drive alot. Last summer I put rebuilt calipers, rotors, bolts/sliders, and pads. It would pull to the right when beginning to brake. When you would press harder it would even out. Then when taking off the brakes the drivers side would stick. It got so hot once it melted the plastic cap on the bleeder screw.
So fast forward to a few months ago. I bought another LH caliper, pads and had the rotor turned. When it was disassembled I wire brushed everything, plus used lots of anti sieze on the external caliper to spindle interfaces. I used the proper caliper pin bolt grease. And I still get pulling to the right and the LH caliper still sticks.
So any suggestions? I've been thinking if anything hydraulic could cause this.

Heres a quick test to see if the hose is the culprit. Get the brakes to stick then loosen the bleeder and release some fluid. If it is the caliper, the siezed piston will not retract, but if your hose has an internal flapper from deterioration the brakes will release.

Hoses are original as far as I know. So I'll pick up a new set and try that out. I've been hoping it's not something in the antilock system or all the valving near the master cylinder.
Not sure if I can get them to stick in the driveway as they've yet to hang up when I've been doing this work. And its probably not wise to jump out at a stop light to crack a bleeder screw.
My 99 van was doing that.
tho it's a 2 wheel drive...the driver's side rubber flex hose was held in a metal bracket on the upper control arm.
the metal bracket rusted close and stopped fluid from going to the caliper at the same rate as the passenger side.
pryed open the bracket and zipped tied the hose to it.
brakes are fine now.

Ok so I picked up a couple of hose, fluid and some new pads. And of course when working on brake lines the drivers side metal line was pretty much rusted up. I couldn't get the nut to break free of the line so now I need a new metal line. The passenger side was able to break free.
Now i'll be redneck and it will be sitting on jack stands for a few days as I'm out of town this weekend and don't have any openings to finish this up. I'll also be dropping off my rotors for a touch up again.
Stay tuned maybe next week I'll get this back together.
if you really want to be a redneck get a short piece of steel line and splice it to the old line with a compression fitting. uh-oh, here comes the flames. i don't care. it works.
