Default RPM Surging In Overdrive

When I am driving on the highway, when the truck is in OD, the RPM's will randomly surge up, usually around 4-500 rpms. The truck also seems to have trouble staying in OD, even on flat ground. Any ideas? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Truck specs are in my sig.

Solenoid or tranny is gonna need a rebuild. the solenoid is in the tranny behind the pan. Good excuse to change fluid and filter. There was a thread in last two or three days on replacing the solenoid.

I replaced the gorvernor pressure sensor and solenoid about 8 months ago. Is there another one?

A bad Throttle Position Sensor can cause surging like that also. You might try replacing it. There is also DIY on how to clean it.
