Trust me you dont want to do that and then run unloaded. What load range tire are you using?
My last set of skins were E range, and I ran their max cold pressure. Didn't even see 20K out of the tire. Not saying it was all my fault on that, they were a pretty crappy tire, but the center tread was bald when I got done with them. And running them inflated like that will get better mileage, but not enough to justify going through a set of tires every single year.

I run my C range GoodYear Wrangler TDs at 45 psi.

My tires are Toyo Open Country E load (10 plies). I just checked the spec on Toyo's site and they recommend 55 front and 70 rear. Does that sound right to you guys?

oh hell that's not that extreme then. I'd say run it, or put like 65 in all 4. I was visioning a tire stating 80PSI and that's too much on an unloaded truck.

That rear recommendation has to be with a load. Like I said, with an empty bed and the tires inflated that high your rear end is going to bounce like a pogo stick over even the smallest bump.

Thanks guys. I think I just figured out how to add an image of my truck in my signature so you an see it. So Miami Son, you recommend putting less on the rear if the truck is unloaded? I will try that.

So far so good. Nice ride and looks real good too. Will truly test it out in the winter when I have my plow on. I live on a crazy hill.

My tires have 45 PSI on their sidewall, which as others have stated, is the maximum PSI.

I run 38 PSI in the front and 36 in the rear. Anything more and my tires bulge out eventually at the sides, and I get weird wear patterns.

Run whatever you want, my two cents is to make sure its at least 5 or more PSI below maximum for normal unloaded driving.

I see you have a bed box in yours. Not knowing how much weight you have inside it I would go with 60psi and carefully watch your wear pattern. If you start eating up center tread, then raise it. Try 70 and see what your ride quality is like. My tires are rated at 65, but at that with an empty bed the rear just bounces too much for my liking and it's way too easy to spin the tires. 55 works fine and the tread wear is pretty even. I bump it to 60 when I am carrying my motorcycles or pulling a trailer.
