when i first got my round air cleaner people told me to get a AEM dryflow filter for it. I just wanted to know from experience what the advantages are. I work at a dealership so using cleaning oils and supplies in no problem for a K&N. Just wanted to know everyones opinion. Running a paper filter right now and its time for a change/upgrade. Comments ideas etc.. thanks

so how can you say k&n doesn't filter well enough? ya'll must have read a story from someone that ran one without enough oil on it, or one that didn't have k&n oil on it. the oil is what makes it catch dust and keep it out of your engine. so as long as you clean it properly and reoil it when its dirty then it'll more than likely outlast the truck.

K&N's suck do they???? Why would we put them on a multi million dollar aircraft, with one single turbine engine that puts out over 650shp in the dirtiest nastiest enviroment aka Kumar's Homeland, Iraq? You think clean air is important on your V8, try something that spins at 57,000 rpm. I work on these engines every single day. You fly them without the filters, you see major losses of power, lots of erosion on your compressor blades, and glassing (when sand melts turns to glass and sticks to components) in the hot end. If Royles Royce protects their $473,000 engine with a K&N, I personally think its good enough for my truck.
