How about this: Was it possible to get a Sport WITHOUT the Off Road package but WITH a lift off the showroom floor? As in, was it an option that one could purchase. Also, how can one determine if you have a factory lift?
Any lift that was not the Off Road package would have been a dealer-installed option and not a factory one. The easiest way to spot an Off Road model (assuming the special decals have been removed) is to look at the front axle. It has some distinctive gusseting on it that is unlike any other Dana 44 used on RAM 1500s. And the Off Road package was only available on 1500s. 2500/3500 models sit higher than a standard 1500 by virtue of their stiffer suspensions and higher load capacities.

From the factory, no, it was not an option by itself. The only way to get a lift from the factory for 2000-2001 was the Off Road package. Previous model years didn't have that option. Some dealers do their own thing, sometimes with aftermarket parts, for show trucks or whatever.
However, more than likely, if you don't have the Off Road package and you think its lifted, a previous owner probably did it.
I want those wheels. I've never seen them before but they are by far my favorites I've seen. If my truck wasn't for sale and I needed a set of wheels those would be it.

Still some life in the old guy. Another thing that is a dead giveaway for the Off Road models are the frame-mounted front tow hooks, although not definitive since they were offered as an option, as well.
