Not quite sure about boost pressure, or a tuner yet. I'm still inhaling the massive amounts of info that this thing is going to require.

Considering I will have all the required forged internals though, I don't think it's crazy to expect 15 psi bare minimum.

I'm a lucky guy though, I have full access to a machine shop containing both CNC and manual mill/lathe, tube benders etc, etc. Seeing as I will be custom fabricating and doing all the work besides the machining of the block, I foresee more money to spend on parts!

And to make me even luckier, I am friends with a guy who owns and runs his own heat treating shop. Custom heat treating at a discounted price maybe? I realize everything comes pre treated but there are things like nitriding the parts which will greatly enhance strength and wear. Don't know if I will move on that or not but hey, it's an idea!

As for the tranny, I think I remember reading on here somewhere that the NV4500 doesn't just drop in seamlessly. Am I remembering correctly? If so what do I have to do?

PS: That dak gives me a hard on

No I don't recall the 4500 dropping in just pell mell.
Is your PCM going to be out of a 96? If it is, then I would say look at an SCT
tuner. It is really the only plug and play tuner that is fully programmable.
PM Hemifever on here, and he has some great deals going.

You are a lucky duck. I am just now learning the ins and outs of our metal lathe, and it is entertaining.

Damn, aint you an ark guy? Most play toy trucks in my area are 4x4, just for the simple fact that the weather is unpredictable. Where I'm at, I wouldn't own a 2wd for a dd.

True, but I have to ask you a question.
What do you drive in the winter when there is snow and ice on the ground? It's bad enough up here, and I can only imagine down there in the hills.
