Wet floor

Hello, everyone; I'm hoping someone here has seen this problem and can offer some advice. I have water lying on both sides of the cab floor of a '97 2500. The AC drain isn't plugged (and I wouldn't think would leak onto the driver's side anyway). It's been suggested that the cowl drains may be plugged, but I've looked underneath and can't find them on either side. Can anyone advise where to look? The owner thinks the leaking started when he had the truck painted and the weatherstripping was removed and replaced. I can't see anything wrong with it and kind of doubt that's the cause of the leak, but I've been wrong before (often, in fact). Any advice will be appreciated.

It could be the third brake light on the cab needs pulled off and silicone added to create a better seal. There know to create the problem your explaining.

Is your coolant low in the overflow tank?

+1 on the third brake light, but you would notice it before it hit the floor.

(had leak there on mine)

I have it on the passengers side and havent rules out my heater core leaking yet but also think is may be weatherstripping....if it started after you had your weatherstripping done I would suggest showering your truck with a hose (or have someone do it while sitting inside looking for leaks...carwash may or may not work too.

I'd like to thank the guys who replied to my question. It seems that the problem is, indeed, the brake light. I sealed around it and the floor is starting to dry out (that takes awhile; we get about 150" of rain per year here in Hilo, HI).

look on the roof against the back window. is all the fabric wet up there?

smell antifreeze inside of cab but no leaks under dash seems carpet is wet by drivers door also coolant level seems to stay up pretty well to norm
