Hey whats up guys i bout my truck about 4 months ago and it was a salvage its a 2001 dodge ram 1500 v8 5.2L with over 80,000 do u think that chrysler would cover my catalytic converter?

call up your local dodge dealer, give them the vin and see what they say, if they say no call a diffrent one. ive herd of guys calling 3 or 4 dealerships and having the first ones saying no then the last saying yes

Happened to me....aftering calling about 4 places, I finally drove into another place and they set me up a time for an inspection on the cat and they said they will most liekly replace it...but ill have to wait till wed.

Didn't see this thread until last week, but I had mine replaced about 2 weeks ago for $275 at a local muffler shop. I called Chrysler this past Friday, and they said my VIN was not included. I'm hoping they stagger the VIN's, as "ACB97SLT" suggested in an earlier post.

Well let me say this....i have tried everything...if your truck isnt included on the recall yet, ya aint getting it haha...took it to my last dodge dealer where they said they would probably replace it...but thats a no go...so the trucks gooing tom. to a local exhaust shop and getting my magnaflow installed

I called the stealer and was told if I got the letter and was under the milage I would be covered. Good thing cuz my cat is starting to rattle. Hope the rest of you have some luck with this.

Oh yeah...to add to the fire...they tried to charge me $17.95 to inspect the cat....this was AFTER the service later told me its free of charge....so I got out of that charge Dealerships can kis my white hinny hahahha

Mine rattled so I gutted it. I doubt they will do anything for me. So it looks like I have to get a magnaflow

i dont know bill. mine was F*cked and i put a magnaflow on and when to the dealer and they paid for it.
