hey man, dont listen to the nay-sayers...your truck is obviously meant to do some serious off roading, and all youve done is add a functional addition to that aspect! i think that it makes the truck look mean.

how about this idea...to avoid the cracking and such, although most PVC will stand up to ALOT of radiant heat, and the steady flow of air through it and the firm coating of mud on the outside should help. Now that you have gotten fitment all set, why not search around for someplace that can bend pipe, and have them bend the piping? that would surely prevent the cracking issue, and as for it looking better (to some people) its an offroad truck, and I doubt that you enter many car shows...

as for the issue with rain, I may have an idea for you there too...many new cars (such as my stratus) have "water traps" in the stock air intake. CAIs remove those as they do add some turbulence. they are placed at a bend (at a 90 degree right before the throttle body on my RT) and it is simply a fair sized hole drilled in the outside of the bend with a container connected to that hole. there is also one closer to the filter, not that i think about it...

...and there is lots of room on the roof for lights...

But I do have respect for your type of vehicle. Atleast it shows that you use yours Mine looks like it just sits there.(which it does) but that snorkel is perty good looking for being a homade job. lets see some of your test run pics.

You could easily add a drain at the 45 degree elbow there at the bottom of the "stack"...by the antenna. You'd have to find a way to keep mud from coming in through the drain though. Maybe drain it into the engine bay...or a covered area in the fenderwell. Just an idea.

I have a sewer pipe fenderwell intake on my 1999 Grand Prix and I know a guy that ran his GTP into the low 13s with a PVC fenderwell. Can't beat the price My dad has one on his Intrepid as well. [8D]

Just for the record Mr. Rad. My comment about using your pipes to launch patatoes for throwing out your wench line was only for ****s and giggles. I admire anyone that goes to extremes to make their rig work for THEM.

We salute you

The guys that have a problem with it would most likely wet their pants if you took them wheeling

The rest of us would gladly get out in the mud to set your wench line.
