Default cup holders?

Has anyone done anything with your cupholders to actually make them work. Mine are worthless pieces of @#$%.

Default RE: cup holders?

Why should you be any different? My right side cup holder bottom fell out and too many cups of coffee have fallen through. This will be the third fix. Guess this was a prior to DR. Z design.

on my 99 ram (5 speed) the 2 cup holders are right on the center console on the floor. They work pretty good in my opinion. Im not too sure how the 98 and older ones are styled though.

On the 96's the cup holders are on the top part of the dash above the radio. They slide out but they aren't deep enough to hold anything.

Well that would suck. I like having mine down low. If anything spills, its going onto the rubber floor and nothing else. Easy to clean.

cup holders in my 96

Crappy pic, but here is what the cup holders for my 96 look like. There very deep and hold everything you throw at them. Only problem with them is getting your center console lid to close. You just have to adjust the striker on the bottem of the center console. I pick those up off Ebay for around $35 or something. I have since removed my factory cup holders and mounted a radio there.

Cheers

Or just spend $36 and you can have a better cupholder than the 98+ Rams

the cupholders in my 95 are above teh radio and they suck. their deep, but their too wide to hold anything...... everything tips out with the slightest turn...... bummer. one thign that works a little bit (better than the other stuff ive tried anyways) is puttin a coozie around whatever drink you have, it fits a little bit.

Default RE: cup holders?

i had to repair the in dash cup holders once a while back, i actually removed a couple peices, cant remeber which though. but yeah, they really do suck. since i had the bench seat and no center console, i went to canadian tire and get me a center console with 2 cup holders for $30. now the in dash cup holder is only used for empty drink containers.
