Default catalytic converter

98 Ram with 5.9 magnum, 113,000 miles. my converter has been rattling the last couple thousnad of miles and its starting to get on my nerves. i saw the article in the forum about the recall dodge had on it, but when i called dodge a couple of months ago, they said it was not in warranty and they would not replace it. The recall said they were going to extend the warranties. So what so i do now? Bring the article to the dealer and sucker up and see if they can repair it. Any help is appreciated, from a sixteen year old who has a sweet ram!!
