recon extreme bar doesnt even last 2 years

Default recon extreme bar doesnt even last 2 years

When I first bought my truck in december 2010, one of the first things I did was install a recon "xtreme" bar (with scanning lights). They were a site sponsor, and so I got the bar for $130. After less than a year I started having problems and emailed them, and they emailed me back and forth, and I eventually just rewired everything. Well over this past year (year two) its had nothing but problems, leds started going out, the bar flickers left and right, and now leds are red and yellow, not working, so on and so on. Checked the wires, everythings wired properly, everythings still weather tight. I left numerous voicemails on recons customer service, and sent numerous emails. No response at all. Anyone else have issues, or is recon still around on this site?

I would expect issues with an ebay overseas special, but expected a little more from a $130 light bar from recon

I've had mine on since 2009, still working great. Best of luck. Recon ought to replace it for all the issues you have had.

finally got ahold of someone today. apparently the first gen bars arent all that great. they're on their 3rd gen bar now. anyway, they sold me a 3rd gen at whole sale. I'm still a little dissappointed in the company. That had to have been my 10th time calling, and for a bar that pricey to not last very long... eh.. I guess thats the new American way.

Glad to hear they are kinda taking care of you. I hope the wholesale price was severly discounted. For all the trouble I thought they'd replace it for free under warranty. Good luck with the new one.
