Default 2013 Ram Express Questions

I hope I'm in the right area. I'm trying to find a thread about breaking down the VIN number. I got a truck with anti-spin rear, but when I jacked it up, and spun one wheel, the other wheel goes the opposite way. I'm from old school where limited slip, or posi rears both wheels turned the same way.

I also heard guys talk about a "hemi tick", what's that all about?
Just looking to find some info. Thanks guys.

Chrgd,

If you PM me your vin I will send you a build sheet that will list all the features that were included on your truck. Also include an email address on where to send it.

Thanks Chris, I appreciate that, but I do have the window sticker, and it does say I have the anti-spin axel. I was just checking it and I thought that if I spin one rear wheel, the other one would go the same direction, like the older limited slip, or posi rears did. I don't have the time right now, but I will pm you when I get back, thanks.

OK. Send me the vin and I will check on it. It is my understanding that unless one wheel loses traction the rear end will operate just as a conventional differential.
