Default Ball Joints

Hey guys, took the truck to Big O to get an alignment and they told me my ball joints on the driver side are bad, tire wiggles a bit; so I ordered a Dana kit that includes upper and lower. I got them and noticed they weren't greasable. Is that bad? I've seen alot of ball joints that are greasable, searched around and couldn't find anything definitive of why they would be bad as compared to a greasable unit. Thanks

Greasable work better since you can actually keep them greased and working.

It also helps when you bust a boot and the grease is leaking out.

Greasable ONLY help IF you keep them greased.

I have XRF bj's and they are greasable. When I have to replace them again, Im going nongreasable. The lower zerks were in the way of the wheel joint, so I greased them, took out the zerk and filled the hole with urethane to seal it off. I didnt have a ride to go get low profile zerks. One year later with plowing and hauling theyre still good. Who knows for how long though.
