Default 93 dodge ram w250 temp gauge problem

Hay guys I just bought a 1993 dodge Ram W250 5.9l v8 and the temp gauge does not work it just stays at cold. I was wondering why, I'm thinking it's the sensor/sender. Not the thermostat since I've put 100 miles on it since I bought it and it's not over heating so I guess the cooling system is working. My next question is I don't know which sensor to buy or even where its located. I'm sure if I poke around I'll find it. Any help is appreciated thanks.

***I just want to get this fixed first thing so i can drive this puppy out of town and not have to worry.***

does your truck have a/c. if so it can be a real pain to replace. there are 2 temp sensors on the passenger side of the intake at the front by the thermostat. the 1 with only 1 wire going to it is the one you want. now personally i would just get a aftermarket gauge. you can get them for about $15. the stock gauge is not very accurate anyway.

any electric temp gauge with a small temp sensor should work. both my 81 and 93 have a cheap $15 one that i picked up at princess auto and they work great.
