Remove plate from front of trans by Torque Converter. Check the bolts and make sure one of them is not backing out. Also could be rod, or crank hitting oil pump pick up.
So I pulled oil pan and checked flex plate bolts while I was under there. Nothing looks serious to me, then again im fairly new to this. One thing that did seem a little off was I found small pieces of gravel in my oil pan as well as on the oil pump pick up screen. Any ideas where i need to go from here. I took a few pics ill post as soon as i get them uploaded to my computer
Make sure that rotating pieces do not hit pump or pick up. Try to shake the rods around on crank by hand. Do you feel any movement? Now use a piece of wood to see if there is any slack on the rods. Do not use anything metal.....
I dont really see anywhere it was hitting the pick up at all. I tried shaking the rods by hand. There is as little movement side to side on all of them around the shaft but no movement or slack in the rod tself
