Default Tri fold cover for 02 2500?

I'm desperate to get this figured out as I NEED this cover by June 1st. Fat first I was going to go with a hard cover, but it dawned on me that it would limit the use of the bed. So then I finally settled on a tri fold and American seemed good and relatively water tight, which is important. Price is important as well - under $300 would be great.

So what's the problem? It seems that the American tri fold won't fit an 02. I'm going crazy. I was hoping someone might know of another good, pretty water-tight tri fold for under $300?? Maybe there's a better brand??

First off, if you have an 2002 Ram 2500, this needs to be in the second generation Ram section.

Secondly, you're ACTUALLY going to be looking for a cover for a 1994-2001 Ram pickup, not an 02, as Dodge did a "skip year" between 2001 and 2003 for the Ram 2500/3500.

Hope that helps a bit.

It helps to know what year(s) to look for - but they skipped 02?? Meaning made no changes, or is my title incorrect?

Title is correct. Thread is in the wrong section.

Dodge made no changes to the Ram 2500 and 3500 during the 2002 model year when the 1500 got redesigned. The 2500/3500 got the same body style the 1500 got, in 2003.

If you Rams looks like mine, you're a 2nd gen and need to look for 1994-2001 covers.

Thanks for clarifying! It was just the body style that stayed the same then - otherwise if I needed help would I still look here?

You would need to move to the 2nd generation Ram section. It's right below this one on the forum line up.
I am a lurker that bounces around between the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen sections.

Wait....I actually have all those trucks. Scratch that.

Lol! Ok, I just saw how way off I was with the dates the forum gave for first gen - but according to the listing, I should be in the third?! Should the years they divide it by really including the '02's in the 2nd then?

Btw, I'm really not trying to be difficult - just trying to get it all figured out!
