Default 2007 dodge caliber sxt etc light

Car shut down on me would not go over 20 miles per hour
There are no codes per auto zone. Says its the pedal or throttle body. I have replaced the transmission at 36,000, ball joints, wiring harness, module for the headlight, alternator. Oh
Did I mention this was my very first new car purchase and I put 10,000 cash down. Hate hate hate this car beyond frustrated I see a prev pedal recall I new nothing about could this be my problem.

Welcome to the forum. Does it ever go away or there as soon as you restart the car?
There may have been a recall. You can check by going to www.dodge.com/en. Click on the owners button at the top right of the page. Scroll down to the bottom left. There is a recall link where you enter your VIN number. It should show if there are any recalls on your car.
I am sure that there is a code, but they may use a cheap scanner that didn't show them.
Have you tried unhooking the battery for about 30 minutes to see if it helps any? It does sound like a possible pedal or throttlebody issue.
Sorry to hear that you have had issues with your Caliber. Our 09 SXT has been trouble free except for a leaking strut under warranty.

This may also have something to do with it. If you show a recall on the Dodge site, you can print this and take it to your dealer.

Electronic thottle is shot needs to be replaced found out
After taking it to dealer 350$. No car 7-10 days. So I have now replaced transmission, Ty Rods, ball joints, wiring harness, alternator, headlight modular. Approximately 10,000 in repairs. WOW

I think If u google this car you will see there are
MANY complaints about 2007 dodge calibers and
As far as avoiding first year models of any car, that is
Truly a poor excuse, how about having pride in your
Product and acknowledging when you have put out a giant
Piece of crap. When u spend money on something new it should NEVER bring you this much headache. So this owner "she" IS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

I think the biggest problem was that by 2007, Daimler had pretty well stolen all of Chrysler's money and they had limited resources at the time. It isn't an excuse, just fact.
It happens to most auto makers. Every new engine that Ford has released sine the 90's has taken years to get worked out. Then, when they do, they redesign it again and the troubles start all over. They are already in a lawsuit situation on the new EcoBoost series of engines with many different problems with all of the different versions.
It is hard to get every bug worked out in testing before releasing something to the public for real world abuse. It does seem that most of the bugs must have been worked out by 2009 because our early 2009 model has been pretty reliable.
I agree with your point and I would be very upset if I was in your situation.

I can say that I absolutely love the gas milage
Easily 32-34 miles per gallon! I drive about 55 miles
A day round trip for work and this car is excellent for that
Aspect! If I could just keep her running 😄

I agree, when I worked 40 miles away, I drove ours for a week. The sticker says 23city/27hwy. I got 35.6 and that was at 70mph speed limit. I was impressed. My Ram got about 20.
