Supercharger Project

Supercharger Project
Continuing with my Durango SRT theme, I am looking at adding the proper power to round out the project and am looking at options. I know our 5.7 Hemi is not the Ram-based 5.7, but which vehicle is the 2012 5.7 in the Durango most closely related to? Charger/Challenger, Jeep GC? Are all three of these the same? I know they are basically the same motor, but a variance in packaging can make the difference between a Maggie, etc. designed for one of these other vehicles fitting or not in the D. Biggest question/issue is the pulley alignment. Edelbrock confirmed for us that the heads line up on top, but if the pulley does not line up in the D, then a twin screw is out, unless someone develops a vehicle specific package. Step two is to look at the centrifugals.
My shop has no problem making minor adjustments the vacuum lines, hoses, air intake, fluid reservoirs, etc., and I am not worried about tuning any more as this will all be done with a custom tune on the dyno and street.
So, does anyone have the answer as to how close these engines are, and if one was to check a box to order a blower, which kit wold be the closest -- Charger, etc.?
Thanks much.

This would be your best bet. I'm considering it or swapping a 6.4L into mine. Sadly it looks cheaper to do the swap. Plus ill have more options for boost down the road. But for this setup I'm told only mod would be custom made intake.

Good luck swapping in a 6.4L. No way it would be less than a supercharger. The 5.7 is good for 8psi stock and up to 11psi if you utilize something like a water/meth kit. Beyond that, you'll be getting into major transmission upgrades, let alone engine upgrades.
Engine wise, I don't see a single difference between a 2012 5.7 and anything 2009+ in any car form. So an E-Force should work just fine. Call Edelbrock or email them to get measurements of the snout and overall height to make sure it will fit under the cowl and hood. I bet it fits perfectly.
