Default 97 Ram Blower motor problem

Hello! I am hoping someone can help me. The A/C switch (the one that control's the vents) Broke on my truck so I order one off ebay. I pulled out the old unit (as im sure you know you have to replace the whole thing) and plugged in the new one. All in all it was a easy swap. Well now my fan will not come on. The compressor kicks on everything seems to be working but no blower motor? So I though the switch was bad and changed it back to my old one... same thing. So I am guessing I blew a fuse? I checked the fuse in the panle in the truck and (on the driver side) its fine.

So I guess my question is are there more fuses I should check and if so where are they? I went from A/C that only blew out the vents to no A/C at all! Please help.

No Ac and heat? As in no blower motor action at all? The blower motor or the blower motor resistor might be bad. Check and see what the resistor looks like. Replace it, if that doesn't help, maybe the blower is simply shot.

thanks for the advice! The blower motor would just not come on at all.. it worked fine.. replaced the switch and then it would not work no matter what switch i had in it.

BUT apparently letting it sit overnight solved my problem (I know odd right?) now the blower motor works GREAT! But now i have the same problem.. the vents wont move.. So no matter what setting I have it on the air always comes out of the defrosters.

Is there a way to manually move the flaps so the A/C will blow out the front vents?

You are missing vacuum to your vents. Look under the hood, passenger side. There are two lines the come out of the bulkhead there. Make sure neither one is broke, and both are hooked up.
